On arrival at Paro international airport, straightaway proceed for Thimphu (capital city of Bhutan). After check in at your hotel proceed for some sightseeing. Visit Tashichho Dzong, Motithang Takin Reserve, BBS tower and Anim Dratshang (nunnery). Thimphu has interesting nightlife too. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
Today you can cover many attractions like the weekend market (choose this day as a sat/ sun so you can visit this market where you can buy local items and handicrafts), National Memorial Chorten, Bhutan Post Office headquarters (get personalized stamps with your photo on them), Royal textile academy and museum, National library, Institute of Zorig Chusum, National handicrafts emporium, Buddha Dordenma statue, Kuensel Phodrang, Jungshi paper factory etc. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast hike to Tango and Cheri monasteries. Both the hikes will take you through forest filled with Oak trees and Rhododendrons and the view from the top is breathtaking. After the hike you could go for a spa session at your hotel and enjoy some nightlife. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
Check out of hotel and proceed for a scenic drive to Punakha, on the way visit 108 Chortens at Dochu La Pass. Also visit Chimi Lakhang (fertility shrine) and Punakha Dzong en route. If interested hike to Khumsum Yulley Namgyal Lhakhang. Overnight at hotel in Punakha.
After breakfast proceed for a short drive to the river for Rafting/ Kayaking. After you are done enjoy picnic lunch by the river. Post lunch make a short day trip to Wangdue Phodrang (you can visit the Dzong and explore the town). Overnight at hotel in Punakha.
After breakfast check out of hotel and proceed for Bumthang, en route visit Trongsa Dzong and Ta Dzong, in Trongsa and ‘Yathra’ weaving center at Zugney. Check in at hotel in Bumthang, relax or explore the town.
Here you can visit Kurje Lhakhang, Jambey Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, Jakar Dzong and Dorjibi weaving center in Dorjibi village. Evening free to explore the town. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang.
Check out of hotel and proceed east wards towards Mongar. One of the most enchanting drives, you will drive through beautiful Ura valley, Sengor and reach Mongar town. The whole route is beautiful and spectacular views all through are guaranteed. Visit the Mongar Dzong. Overnight in Mongar.
Check out and drive to Trashigang, the eastern most region of Bhutan. Visit the Dzong here and Khaling. Overnight in Trashigang.
Make day trip to Gom Kora and explore more of Trashigang.
Check out and drive back to Bumthang from Trashigang. Most of the day will be spent driving and you can enjoy spectacular views all around. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang.
After breakfast checkout and proceed for Gangtey. Check in at hotel and proceed for sightseeing. Visit Gangtey monastery, Phobjikha valley (you can view the Black Necked Cranes only if you visit in winters i.e. October/ November) and Black necked crane center. Overnight in Gangtey.
Check out and proceed for Paro, you can visit Tachog Lhakhang en route. After check in at hotel in Paro visit Drukgyel Dzong, Kyichu Lakhang, Ta Dzong (National museum) and Rinpung Dzong. In the evening stroll in the city market browsing local handicrafts. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
Today visit Paro Taktsang Monastery famously known as the Tiger’s nest. It is an uphill hike or you could ride a horse from the parking lot to the monastery. You can also visit farm houses for a glimpse of local rural life. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
Make a day trip to Chele La Pass (it is a vantage point to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas) and Haa valley or you could keep the day completely relaxed after yesterdays hike and enjoy the beauty around you. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
Check out of hotel and proceed for international airport for your flight back home.
