Manas National Park (3 Days / 2 Nights)
Bansbari, Manas National Park
On arrival at Manas National Park (bounded by the beautiful Himalayan foothills it is a Project Tiger reserve on Bhutan border) check in at lodge and relax for some time. You could plan an afternoon jeep safari for your first sightings of the rich flora and fauna the park offers. During the safari one can also chance upon working elephants bathing in the Beki River and returning from the day’s hard work. We suggest you go upto Mathanguri Lodge to see the sun set over Manas River, a must do. Overnight in lodge.
Take an early morning elephant ride through the grassland, later you could go for a boat safari/ river rafting. Wildlife and birding enthusiasts can even take nature trails and treks through the park. Alternatively depending upon your interests you could plan a visit to a local village, see Bodo tribal hand weaving and tea gardens. Return by dusk to see a tribal dance around camp fire in your lodge. Overnight in lodge.
Check out and proceed for home or your next destination.
